There are books to buy and you can also find online which plants are safe for birds. Your best bet is to keep them in rooms where the birds never go. Dirt can contain aspergillosis (covered later) a fungus that is pretty much a nasty death sentence for your bird. Its best to avoid all plants if you can. Honestly, if you can’t part with a plant, don’t get a bird. Keep the flowers either outside or make it a bamboo or a cactus that sits in your study where the bird never goes.
