As for misting, we made the mistake with Herbie of using mist as a deterrent to going on certain things so I can’t really speak of it other than for our other birds, we tried using a mister similar to the picture. Violife Personal Mister is about $3. It gives a fine mist that the other birds seem to enjoy but I’d just as soon leave a cup of cold water out for them and that way they can determine how best to get clean instead of me guessing where they want to be misted.
