If you have a larger bird or your bird somehow likes warm (warm, not hot) showers or warm water from the sink tap then you can do that too. Let the water run still to get the temperature right and to flush out any metals but cold water will still be better from a microbe standpoint. Try both if you want but definitely start with cold water so your bird doesn’t become spoiled in case you have no access to warm water like if you’re remodeling.
